Pros and Cons of working from home

The Covid-19 virus has resulted in many employees having to work from home recently and most employees either love or hate it!

While working from home is not necessarily good or bad, there are pros and cons to both working in an office and working from your home. The following are 5 pros and cons to working from home!

Working from home can offer too many distractions for some folks. As they sit down to work, many people become distracted by their children, the chores they must accomplish, or social media.

More time:

Being able to work from home is great in that you no longer must contend with rush hour traffic in the mornings and evenings. This can easily give you an extra 2 hours to complete all the work you need to do in a day and many work-from-home employees value this additional time.

 Lack of support:

Without the physical support of fellow team members who are only a few steps away, some folks who walk from home feel isolated and without support when they need to ask questions or brainstorm an idea. Of course, colleagues are just an instant message or email away, but sometimes this cannot take the place of face-to-face communication!

Home office workers find that their schedules are far more flexible and they can more easily step out to do chores or tend to their children during their lunch hour or break, than if they were working in a corporate office.
